So, how did this mail club start? Well...
Before this, I was making templates for fun and was always creating arts and crafts to help me destress. I am very introverted, so I don't really go out much unless I have a reason to. When I was little, I actually wrote handwritten letters to my neighbor; we were around seven years old. It was so cool because, while my parents were reading their letters, I was reading the one I got from my friend. The joy it brought me is something I can't even put into words, at least, not until my neighbor moved to a different state.
I missed that feeling, but I thought no one wrote letters anymore until I came across a snail mail club on TikTok. It was a world that reminded me of my childhood. I thought of the joy I had when I would open these handcrafted letters, and I hope to share this feeling with others. The thought of building a human connection with people who share the same joy I had when I opened my letters is so exciting. I hope my curated mail is able to bring joy to everyone that receives it.
The idea for my mail club also started because of my love for animals. My club is tailored to those wanting to hear more about the little animals we pass by every day, animals we hear about, but how much do we actually know about them? As you read my letters, I hope they provide an opportunity to go outside and step away from the digital world. Being present in the moment involves using all the senses you have. Close your eyes and smell the environment around you as you take some deep breaths. What do you smell? What do you hear? Now, open your eyes and let them wander to look for where the sound is coming from. This is being present in the moment.
